Something For The Weekend.

Affordable Art Fair

Looking for something to do this weekend? The Affordable Art Fair returns to Battersea Park from 7- 10 March.

The AAF is always popular and it is easy to see why : the artists include both emerging talents and household names and there's nothing snooty or intimidating about the atmosphere. You can have a good debate over a glass of wine or a cup of coffee and perhaps attend some of the the talks.

There are paintings, photography, sculpture and prints from over 100 UK galleries which are priced from £40 to £4000. Funds are short for many of us and affordable means different things to different people: the organisers get that, and they've programmed Really Really Affordable Art Tours to help visitors identify the works at the lowest prices.

Below are a few examples of just what is on offer.

The bottom line - brighten your walls without breaking the bank!

Kraggy - Emerging Artists exhibition

If you like the idea of The Emerging Artist Kraggy as pictured above, you could grow very fond of images below. This is the work of Leah Durant, Fine Art Graduate. She is a multidisciplinary artist (image maker) who utilizes a range of processes within her work; from found images and photography to printmaking and drawing. She is currently based in the Leafy North of England, from where she takes some of her inspiration. Perhaps these would brighten up your walls? Take a look at her Website.
