Bed Complete

I cannot express my happiness and joy now that this bed is complete! And oh my goodness how good does she look! I must emphasise how much I underestimated this project when we first started. When I viewed the bed originally online, the wood didn't look too bad or require much work. Boy was I completely wrong! The lessons that I have learnt from this bed are huge. I now know that I should have dipped the wood to save all this time sanding down, to manage my time better when it comes to bigger projects, do my research and to cost the job properly! I also want to say a huge thank you to my long suffering boyfriend who does all the sanding for me because I hate it! He is amazing and works his butt off to finish the work I ask him to complete. I have added a few photos from the beginning of this project so you can see how far we have come. It is difficult to translate using photos alone the progress we have made but I hope you love it as much as I now do! Scroll down to see the timeline.

And here she is, complete! All we need now is a new bed base and it can all be fixed together. That job however is much much easier. I will post photos once that has arrived, but otherwise I am just so chuffed.
