Commission Central

Well, I have been quite busy recently! I have acquired a few commissions this month from cushions to seat covers and a little project in between.

The first commission were some Palm Print cushions. I used about a year ago for a stool which everyone loved. The pattern is very in vogue and the texture is so versatile. It's a good hard wearing weave and I have seen the fabric used on outdoor seats (although not water proof). I created two large palm print cushions, which I really wanted to keep. However they have been sent off and will be in their new home very soon.

Luckily I have quite a lot of palm tree fabric left, so I have also made another cushion which is now up for sale on our Etsy shop. This one is a little different, it does include the same green piping but one side is a green velvet and the other is the palm print. Click the link to see our Palm Print cushion.

Secondly, my second commission was a retro stool (pictured below) which landed in Paris a few days ago and I am pleased to say the customers love it. These blogs are really just shameful self promotion. The fabric used is our MatsonBailey Night Sky Fabric, which is now out of stock (unless you want to purchase a cushion from our Etsy page MatsonBailey Shop ).

The final commission is a simple set of seats from four chairs. Luckily this time I had one of those sort of clients that has said 'chose a fabric you like' (that obviously came with specifics in regards to colours and pattern). Ideally the palette was grey and white so I chose a beautiful fabric from Korla. I have used their fabric before and I LOVE it! I know what you are thinking, today I am just full of descriptive words on my blog - good, love, great! But anyway these lovely things are complete and will be off to their new home soon.

In other news I have discovered some more conversation chairs! I am rather thrilled as I though t they were a flash in the pan, but I keep seeing them everywhere. So naturally I bought these and will be covering them in the same palm print fabric. They should be up for sale at some point this month.
