Celebrations and Current Creations.
This weekends proceedings started on a Thursday night trip to Leicester for my University friends wedding, which we had all been rather excited about! Friday we traveled to Oakham, which is a beautiful little village just outside of Leicester for what happened to be a wonderful day. It was so great to celebrate such a special occasion with all my very close friends from university. It is however rather sad that we no longer spend more time together, but the time we do spend is very precious. Anyway before I cry, enough of the sentiments here are a few photos below of the day.
On to my new creations! I have several pieces that are now for sale along with some cracking cushions (several more will also be available later this week!) I have another small stool I have in production too, I am just waiting on some Christian Lacroix fabric to complete it's look.
For the first chair, I have used a simple two tone pattern so it retains it retro look and feel. The Fabric is from Designers Guild called Cheviot Tweed - Chalk and the Yellow fabric is a simple wool I purchased online.
The seat itself was already in fantastic condition the wood just needed a little rubbing down and then cleaning using Danish oil. And I think It has come up a real treat.
It is now for Sale on all of the Usual websites, but for ease it is listed here under Retro Dining Chair.
The second chair I have covered in a tropical leaf print fabric, which seems to be appearing everywhere at the moment. As soon as I saw a picture I had to have it! I have matched it with a complementing green linen from Designers Guild so it again gives the chair a two tone quality. Admittedly this one is a little busy, but it could be a great center piece for any room.
This is also now for sale online at all the usual websites but for ease it is listed here under Retro Dining Chair.
We have several cushions also for sale, I will pop each link underneath the pictures so you can have a look at the listings.
Keep a look out for a few more bits and piece that will be up for Sale later in the week. Enjoy the weekend everyone!
