Autumn
So it's my favourite time of year again! When it becomes time to snuggling
up in comfy chairs and surrounded by cushions (not to mention my birthday) it
is just a good excuse to make many more wonderful things.
And as usual I seem to have taken an absolute age to write on my blog, but that is because I have been very busy with chairs. I have also been trying to make Matsonbailey 'branded', this has meant creating labels and business cards so we generally look a little more professional and can pretend I know exactly what we are on about. It was a rather exciting day when they came in the post, I think they look beautiful and the rest of the team approve too! So when you order any item from MatsonBailey you will receive a lovely little card and a branded label (just in case you forget where you purchased from).
Both chairs will be the same colours but in reverse i.e the chair above will be grey on the front and blue on the back, making the second chair blue on the front and grey to cover the back. I am incredibly close to finishing the first chair and cannot wait to deliver it back to see the final piece.
Even I have to admit the chair did look rather lovely on his boat. I took some other photos just before I dropped it off at his place. I love the colour of the wood it's just beautiful, just pleased he liked it too!
There is as always more bits and pieces coming soon to the store so keep a look out, take care everyone x

Alongside this we were contacted on instagram but a lovely
girl who is creating similar work to my own but with mid-century tables and
chairs and putting her own spin on them. She messaged to say that she has two
chairs that she would like me to do as her skills were not as perfected as she
would like (and of course with such beautiful chairs no one would want them
ruined). So here at MatsonBailey we have set about striping the old fabrics and
reupholstering them with new modern material.

Whilst creating those my friend Craig, who I made a chair
for a while ago needed a similar piece to match the interior of his boat. Of
course we happily obliged and created a slightly smaller version that I have
pictured below. He loves black, and sometimes a little bit of grey, so this
chair gives him the option of having either.

Now on to what's new in the store, Now that we have these
gorgeous little labels some cushions have been made so show them off. I have
listed the links below each of the cushions so you can go straight to our Etsy
shop and treat yourself.
Also available in store are our beautiful geometric cushions
made from Studio Flock and Designers Guild fabric. Again the link is below for
you to treat yourself to a payday purchase.
