New Year, New Home
As the title would suggest we have finally moved to a beautiful new flat the other side of Camberwell Green. I love South London, although sadly I know most friends North of the river think its the edge of the world (everything ends at Elephant and Castle *rolls eyes*). Camberwell has the benefit of being slightly out of the rat race yet near enough to pop central anytime you want. But enough of my love of South London and on to our gorgeous flat, I obviously set about taking photos for you to all to see..... so enjoy!

These are the stairs up to the flat (Iam so descriptive I know). Sadly this chair isn't a permanent feature, we are thinking however of purchasing a chaise longue to create a little reading corner. It will be perfect in the summer.
At the top of the stairs I love that we now have a little coat rack (which isn't in the way when you walk in the house). However the coats don't stay on the rack ha ha. I think some small cork is needed on each of the hangers so all the coats don't end up on the floor. That will be a B&Q trip for the weekend.
All of my little trinkets fit beautifully in my new bedroom, I have far too many of course and I always endeavor to add loads more at the poor detriment of my other half.
The chairs to the right of the picture will also be up for sale soon, I will pop them on my Instagram very soon!
These beautiful pictures are from a vintage fair on the Isle of Wight, I can't for the life of me remember the name of the Instagram account it was from. The lady who founded it however is called Junkaholique. That women and her little house have become a huge inspiration to my decor, she is brilliant.
Another item I collect too much of (so I am told by my partner *rolls eyes*) are cushions. two of which are sitting on my lovely new bed (which is so high) I love it. My housemate however has an even higher bed because of all her mattress toppers (it looks like Princess and The Pea but oh my goodness I bet it is comfy).
I have stuck with mostly muted or minimal colour in the flat, Pinterest has overwhelmed me with beautiful pictures that show me these monochrome houses so I had to create this image in the flat. I have to add however my housemate loves her colour and the living room has is happy combination of minimal and bright tones which actually I am beginning to welcome.
This vase above I bought in an amazing shop down in Hove called Keep it Vintage. Have a look on the website, oh my goodness (I can't keep saying that!) you can absolutely see why I love the place. The lady who owns the shop has more trinkets than I could ever dream of... I'm not that materialistic ... am I? ha! who am I kidding.
I have also found a place for all my cushions - Matsonbailey cushion mountain has begun!
The main room in the flat is a combination of a living room, kitchen and dining room but everything fits perfectly! As silly as it sounds I am so pleased everything works. I lived in a run down flat for so long that all the new shinny objects that work, give me so much pleasure!
Still keeping that vintage theme, I bought these coloured glasses from Neptune and French connection.
And finally both my housemate and I have been able to go mad in the kitchen with all our memorabilia. We have a coffee machine, blender, vintage weights, fancy toaster and kettle and my pride and joy ..... my egg holder (in the shape of a chicken).
It really is a new start, I have even begun exercising again. The move has giving me stability that I have been after for a long time. I even have a lovely housemate who is very understanding given all my trinkets are spread all over the place! Anyway I will stop showing off and upload the chairs to my Etsy site ready for you lot to buy.
