Brighton Sunshine!

Wasn't the weekend a glorious one? I think my friends and I could not have picked a better weekend to go to Brighton. Looking back at the photos from an office on a rainy Thursday makes me want to go back! But anyway, it was great to see my friends and have a jolly good catch up (not to mention a night on the sauce!) But naturally the first port of call was the obligatory walk along the beach.

... And Obviously we had to take some silly photos! We just cannot behave ourselves at all!

My friend actually lives down the road from Brighton, in a sleepy place called Hove where there seem to be a dozen cute little vintage shops and cafes. The Cafe below 'Treacle & Co' is just the most wonderful little hideaway. It was soo popular and you can see from the photos why.... take a butchers.

Just next door was this shop 'Keep it Vintage' so I had to get in there and take a good look! The window itself is just so inviting, if I could I would have taken the lot. The photos of the little bits and pieces she collects are simply beautiful, and there was a lot more stock in there this time. I believe the my first visit was when the shop had recently opened, so the lady was still sourcing all of her items. Anyway take a look at the pictures below, I don't think they do this beautiful little place justice.

I am also happy to say I did purchase something from the shop, it was a little Blue French Jug which I was chuffed with. ...... And I have finally found a mirror for my room, it has been too long now just using a pokey little face mirror in which you can't really judge how you look close up or far away (and this one is pretty and practical!) Purchase justified.

Right! Now here is the BEST buy to date. It is a beautiful sofa on casters (nice and easy to move) that I have big plans for. The women who I bought it from named Candy, seemed unhappy to part with it. However it had been sitting in her garage for a while and just had not found the time to complete the refurbishing. It is completely stripped so for me that reduces half the work, which is brilliant!
It is a big challenge but one I cannot wait to start, it's new and exciting! Take a look at the pictures below and what fabrics I am planning on using.

These are the fabrics I am planning on using, both are Designers Guild. I want a good selection of contrast and I think a beautiful Royal Blue with a soft grey will work beautifully. Keep an eye out, this will be a very demanding project! Have a great end of the week and a super weekend, Bye!
