Mororange.
The Orange chair has come to town! This is the latest chair to my ever growing collection. This time thought I would try something a little different and go for a bright retro theme as opposed to flowers (Not that flowers have disappeared, they will be back in another chair very soon!). The Chair below I used a heavy weave Linen from Designers Guild that I managed to get for a complete bargain on Ebay, mixed with a 100% bright orange linen. What do you think? It is up for sale on Etsy and Ebay so do take a look.
This is the second chair in progress, now I have padded it out is rather large. I really wasn't expecting it to be quite so big. However it should be much comfier than before, and I can quote from my housemate 'I would happily read a book in this chair' sounds like a winning comment to me! As you can see from the photos below quite how large the chair is, as Pip's feet don't even touch the floor haha!
The Fabric below is my final decision but it seems to have taken forever! I think it is purely because it is such a beautiful chair I wanted to take some time with it and make something that would really bring it up to date and away from the floral pattern on it before. If you want a better look at the Fabric it is called Sarasota from Designers Guild. I am hoping to team it with a grey to break up the chair a little so it doesn't appear too overpowering.
Now these chairs below are two of the nicest I have seen for a while, I would really prefer the top one because it has a cracking pair of arms. However the lady who is selling it I think is a little reluctant to let it go. So it could mean the chair below the first as the next project. The fabric I have chosen is also a Designers Guild called Rosenholm. It really is beautiful and will bring us into spring with something delicate and cheerful!
Keep an eye out for which Chair I chose. Int the mean time take a look at my Orange Chair, you know it would look beautiful in your home!
