New Projects For The New Year

Happy New Year!

I hope you had a wonderful time, mine was lovely and relaxed but now it is full steam ahead with chairs. I have obtained two gorgeous Ercols, one with arms and one without. I have decided to paint part of them, and before you say it I know that previously I have stated painted furniture isn't always desirable. However I think I have had a break through!

So above and below are the two lovely chairs, one of which I have sanded down today (I am writing this covered in dust). Each one I am going to pop some cushions on to complete the look.

Pinterest was my inspiration for my new chairs. You can get completely lost in that maze of pictures so I found loads of pictures of beautiful painted chairs.

How beautiful are these chairs? And they look so subtle when they have been painted. I have chosen some delicate grey colours for each of them. They will ideally go with most living rooms for a multi purpose.

These pictures below and above I had to add on here because they are just gorgeous. I love Ercol chairs and trying to redesign a classic is tough, but I think with these subtle additions they should work perfectly.

My other project I want to share with you is this gorgeous new sofa which is almost complete! All I need now is a little bit of piping and it will be up for sale!
