Latest Projects.

I have neglected the blog for a little too long now, so here are some of the projects I have been working on since May.
I have also discovered soooooo many fabrics on Etsy recently and this Geometric pattern below is certainly one of my favourites. It really was an easy decision as to what chair I chose for the fabric. It had to be simple with clean lines so that the geometric fabric could be the main focus of the piece.

If you just love the Fabric it is available on Etsy from Palette Fabric or alternatively the chair is now for SALE on all the usual websites Etsy, Bigcartel and Ebay. So go on treat yourself!

The second chair I have been asked to reupholster will be going to the same home as the stool I previously sold. Fortunately for the lovely fellow who bought my stool I have a lot of this Designers Guild fabric left to complete this second project. However I am currently battling with some of the screws in the chair. It appears to have been so long since it was reupholstered or at least cleaned; they are proving rather hard to remove! It will not beat me, but for now I am waiting on some padding so it has been side-lined. Do keep a look out however as next weekend there should be some further updates on this cute little thing.

There is a constant supply of tools situated around my flat to help me with all these chairs and I will certainly need my sander for this next project. Again this is a returning customer, my old boss who previously bought the Yellow Stripe Chair from me (which she has banned her husband from sitting on) that did make me laugh. She has asked me to make some cushions for this beautiful rocking chair, she was not sure if it was an original Ercol or not. This if course means any work I do to restore this must be very carefully done.

Is such a great vintage chair, one that equally deserves a high quality fabric that my friend has chosen herself (I believe it reminds her of her recent trip to the Amazon). The Fabric is from Sanderson, which I had not heard of before but I have to say they have some unique patterns and some very reasonable staple colours. It is a fun fabric that I am going to team up with a blue linen so the seat cushions can be alternated between patterned fabric and plain.

If you want to find out more from Sanderson there is a link just below to the Fabric I am using for the rocking Chair so do have a good look at their website.

Apologies this blog has been rather brief, I just wanted to keep you all up to date on what I had been doing with my time, and of course I am always productive! Keep an eye out for further updates, enjoy your week guys.
