Richmond Bank Holiday
This bank holiday couldn't have been any more perfect (apart from my sunburn). I have pretty much spent my time either having a picnic or sitting in the sun with a glass of gin. Monday I decided to take a trip up to Richmond to visit the seemingly popular Petersham Nurseries. I have to say I was not disappointed at all. We all sat and had some delicious lunch and then wondered around the garden centre swooning over all the plants and interiors. I plan on designing my fictional house almost exactly the same way as the pictures below. Maybe one day I will wake up and have my own home but for now I will have to use my imagination.
The garden centre had these beautiful vintage seed packets, it made me think I could start growing plants on our window ledges. Although I am not brilliant with plants, many of the current botanicals around the house are pretty dead or dried. Wishful thinking maybe.
And they had these fancy metal chairs that seemed so clunky when I was at school but I have fallen in love with them ...... so I probably need one at home. My chair obsession continues.
We currently have two chairs on our hall way but after seeing this green bench I though why not source one, paint it green and make a cushion. Easy right?
Petersham is just dreamy and the garden centre is stunning, I would go there again in a heart beat but I might wait until winter when it is all Christmassy.
We got cake obviously!

My green dress matches the bench.
My housemate blending in with her background too!

....the day was perfect, all I can say is roll on summer, I so enjoyed wearing pretty florals.
