Spring is in the Air.
I think Spring is on its way! Hurray! So I think an injection of yellow is in order, so here is a beautiful posey of flowers brighten up your day. They were sent to one of my colleagues from her partner, and I am sure the view is a lot sunnier on her side of the desk.
The flowers started me thinking about how to brighten up my home decor. It’s no secret that yellow has long been a classic colour choice for interiors. And why not? Sunny, warm, and uplifting, this colour is difficult not to like, plus it works well in a wide variety of setting.
As you may remember, I previously bought some Blue Percale Bed Linen from Zara Home and yellow would be a perfect complimentary colour. Below are some inspirational rooms for you to feast your eyes on!
To complete my little corner of tranquility I decided a chair was a new necessity at home. I wrote to a wonderful upholsterer Mary, the creator of Hickey and Dobson who as you can see below send me a variety of fabrics compiling of blues and yellows. She chose for me a fantastic 1950s cocktail chair that could have a combination of colours. Have a look below, it's just what I was looking for... now I just need a yellow cushion!
