Pink and Black.
Ok... so I did say perhaps after the last chair I would relax the re-upholstery for a while but what can I say, I can't resist doing another. I took the photo below in a Designers Guild Store along Marylebone High Street. I just love it! After showing it to a friend she suggested why not create a copy cat version with my own twist.
This is the Chair I have had my eye on to create the copy cat version. Obviously it does look a tad different to the one above, however the features on the chair below are full of character and on the whole it looks a lot more interesting.
Naturally I have tried to create a little mood board to see the colours next to each other, I have thrown in a few chairs that I adore for good measure so you can see my train of thought.
I just love velvet its quality is so rich and vibrant! and the pink is just fantastic. The Pink below is a sample I have but I am not sure whether it needs to be a touch darker simply beacause that fabric is SO bright. I will let you know how I get along and hopefully you will be seeing the New Chair soon!
