Pumpkin Madness.
Well no Halloween should go past without some Pumpkin Carving! I invited some friends over a SPOOKY weekend of films pumpkins and treats. Admittedly I was a little worried handing out sharp knives to people that should only be trusted with pink fluffy pens, but it actually went really well.
And look at how they came out! Our hard work paid off and don't you think they look positively ghoulish!.... Well enough to scare some unsuspecting children on the balcony below.
How brilliant do they look in the dark! We waited around (not for very long not with these winter nights) and lit them on the balcony. This was the photo we took before the wind blew them all out!
On the sunday we visited what is now my favourite Market in Herne Hill. It is fully of local produce from Pumpkins to cakes and coffee. It is great for families of like myself and my friends just wanting a bit of a wonder around a town. The obligatory coffee and cake did make an appearance, which made us all very happy!
I also spotted some cards that my Grandma used to have collected inside a little book called the Flower Fairies, such a lovely memory.
I am going to have to pop back to the best junk shop too! I found this stool and I will just have to have it! Keep your fingers crossed that it will still be for sale at the weekend.
After coffee and cake we took a long stroll around Brockwell Park, it was mighty windy I can tell you but it was lovely to get some country air after being in the big smoke all week. We also found what appeared to be a secret garden with benches and a fountains, it was so sweet.
This weekend was a brilliant result and I only wish my friends could have stayed longer! I hope your weekend was fantastic too!
